A house in the Westlake District has been completely destroyed after it went up in flames Monday night. Firefighters were called to the 300 block of North Occidental Boulevard around just before 10:00 PM. Witnesses say they were shaken by several loud explosions. Nearby residents also say the house was being renovated at the time. The house can be seen fully engulfed in flames before firefighters knocked it down in around 20 minutes. It’s unclear if anyone was injured. Crews can be seen having a tough time entering the home, using chain saws.
