ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CALIFORNIA – On Sunday morning December 6, 2020, California Highway Patrol Santa Fe Springs Station and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a fire-hydrant at 19904 Eaquiline Ave and Brea Canyon Cutoff Rd. Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene they located a white Tesla that had crashed into a fire hydrant and also hit an electrical box. The water from the hydrant was shooting about 75 feet into the air. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was able to shut off the water. The driver of the Tesla did not have any injuries and was not transported. The driver of the Tesla told CHP officers that he fell asleep at the wheel.
