Driver Shot at After Fender Bender in Brooklyn (46 Palmetto St)

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the individual depicted in the attached video and photos who is sought in connection with an attempted assault within the confines of the 83 Precinct. Details are as follows:

It was reported to police that on Friday, April 9, 2021 at approximately 1700 hours, a 53-year-old male was operating a vehicle which was stationary while stopped at a red light in the vicinity of 46 Palmetto Street, when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle reversing in front of him. When the 53-year-old male attempted to exchange information with the unidentified individual operating the vehicle which struck him, the unidentified individual exited the vehicle he was operating, displayed a silver firearm, and discharged the firearm one time toward the 53-year-old male victim. The victim was not struck and the unidentified individual fled the location in a white Honda sedan northbound on Bushwick Avenue. No injuries were reported.
