At 1:10 pm a driver of a Suburban SUV hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending her car crashing into the Shoe City. The two workers inside were not injured but were very startled when they heard the loud crash. The driver was checked out but was not injured and the area was boarded up. Sheriffs say it was not DUI related and just a slip of the foot on the pedal. The business is expected to close until everything is cleaned up.
