RIVERSIDE: Vehicle Fire On 91 Freeway

Late Friday night September 28, 2018 the California Highway Patrol along with the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle fire on the 91 Freeway. The fire was reported just before 11:00pm along the westbound 91 Freeway east of Madison Street. The first arriving engine company located a sedan on the right shoulder well involved with fire. Firefighters made a quick and aggressive fire attack and had the fire knocked down within minutes of arriving on scene. The occupants in the vehicle were able to escape without injury. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
