Late Saturday night August 18, 2018 the California Highway Patrol received reports of a hit and run traffic collision on the westbound 91 Freeway near Van Buren Blvd. As Officers were enroute, they were advised the suspect, in a dark colored scion sedan, exited Van Buren Blvd. heading north and struck a utility truck. The suspect then fled from the vehicle across the southbound lanes of Van Buren Blvd. and was struck by a Dodge sedan. The City of Riverside Fire Department along with AMR and the Riverside Police Department responded to the scene of the vehicle vs pedestrian.
