ONTARIO: Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies Search For Armed Robbery Suspects

On Thursday night, December 12, 2019, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was searching for armed robbery suspects along the westbound 10 Freeway just east of Haven Avenue. According to initial reports, the robbery occurred earlier in the evening, at a T Mobile Store, in the Eastvale area, where several Apple products were taken. Deputies were using a tracking device to locate the suspects. At one point, all northbound lanes of the 15 Freeway were closed between Cantu Galleano Ranch Road and the 60 Freeway, as deputies believed the suspects were struck in the closed freeway traffic. Unfortunately, the the suspect vehicle, a newer model 4-door sedan, wasn’t located in the closure and deputies were forced to release traffic. As deputies continued to use the tracking device, it led them to a white bag along the shoulder of the westbound 10 Freeway, at the Haven Avenue off ramp, where items from the robbery were located. A Sheriff’s K-9 searched the area but wasn’t able to locate the suspects. According to a crime broadcast, the suspects used a handgun during the robbery.
