JURUPA VALLEY – Early Thursday morning June 25, 2020 the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a car-to-car shooting on the 60 Freeway. The shooting was reported around 1:30am along the westbound 60 Freeway near Pedley Road in the community of Glen Avon. According to initial reports, the driver of a black Dodge Challenger fired multiple shots at a white pick-up truck along the 60 freeway, just before the Pedley Road off ramp. The driver of the pick-up truck was able to safely exit the freeway at Pedley Road while he waited for officers to arrive. At least 5 bullet holes were seen on the drivers side of the pick-up. Four of which were in the drivers door. Fortunately, no one inside the pick-up truck was struck by the gun fire. The motive for the shooting wasn’t immediately known however, it appears it may have been a result of road rage. No further details were immediately available.
