MANHATTAN: Cyclist Randomly Shot

8.22.19 | by Adam Balhetchet | EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan – A cyclist was randomly shot in the back. According to police, It happened at approximately 11:47 pm Thursday at East 13th St & 1st Ave, within the confines of the 9th Precinct. The cyclist heard shots fired then felt pain in his back. He then took himself to Beth Israel hospital three blocks north at East 16th St & 1st Ave. He is currently listed in stable condition. The 13th Precinct established a level 1 mobilization and SRG units arrived. Detectives were on the scene investigating as well. There is no perp description at this time.
