MANHATTAN: Crane Kills Worker

4.13.19 | by Adam Balhetchet | SOHO, Manhattan (DCPI) – On Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 0315 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male struck by an object at a construction site located at 570 Broome St, within the confines of the 1 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with severe trauma to his body. EMS also responded to the location and pronounced the individual deceased at the scene. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing. The deceased has been identified as Echevarria, Gregory.
