RIVERSIDE – Riverside City Fire Department along with Riverside City Police Department and American Medical Response were dispatch to the 5000 block of Arlington Ave X Madison in front of the Jack In the Box regarding a vehicle vs semi-truck with two patients trapped. Riverside City Police Department arrived on the scene and reported two victims trapped inside a Volkswagon sedan. Riverside City Fire Department along with American Medical Response, arrived shortly and began using the jaws of life to free both victims inside the vehicle. Both victims were safely removed from the vehicle and transported to the hospital with major injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation and it unknown at this time if alcohol or drug were a factor.
