A BNSF Freight Train struck and killed a pedestrian Monday night in Victorville. SBCo Fire received a call from BNSF around 8:30 PM stating that one of their trains may have struck a pedestrian walking on the tracks. SBCo Fire paramedics, SBSO deputies and BNSF personnel searched the area eventually finding the victim. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics. The accident occurred on the tracks that parallel North D Street in Victorville. The closest road map location is 17200 block of North D Street. Train traffic in both directions was shut down for the investigation. The BNSF engine that struck the victim was heading into Victorville (south/east bound) when the accident occurred.
