HACIENDA HEIGHTS: Firefighters Save Puppies

Shortly after noon Thursday firefighters responded to structure fire call in Hacienda Heights. Crews called a knockdown after a short fire fight and kept the fire damage confined to the second floor. Per a neighbor, the person living in the home was evicted 3 days ago left 9 dogs and 6 cats behind. One puppy was brought out of the home suffering from likely smoke inhalation. As seen in the video, an Oxygen mask was administered to the puppy and the puppy was rushed to a local animal hospital by a LA County Sheriffs. The rest of the puppies were taken to Baldwin Park Animal Shelter by Animal Control.
