JURUPA VALLEY – On Sunday morning, March 07, 2021 Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire along with the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to reports of an outside fire with threat to a commercial building in the community of Rubidoux. The fire was reported around 12:27am in the 5300 block of Mission Blvd. next to AutoMedic Transportation. The first arriving engine company reported a fire up against a single story commercial building with fire spreading to the structure. As additional resources were enroute, heavy fire and smoke shot through the roof of the business, threatening multiple vehicles at AutoMedic Transportation along with an additional structure to the rear of the business. The owner of AutoMedic Transportation vigorously tried using a garden hose to protect the vehicles parked on his property. As of 1:30am, firefighters were still working to fully extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
