Caught on Camera: Robbery, Shots Fired, Food Fight

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the two unidentified males who are seen in the attached video and are sought in connection with a robbery (shot fired) within the confines of the 106th Precinct. Details are as follows:

It was reported to police that on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 0100 hours on the corner of Liberty Avenue and 116 Street, Victim #1, a 41-year-old male, and Victim #2, a 34-year-old male, became involved in a verbal dispute with Unidentified Male #1 and Unidentified Male #2 when they passed on the street and there was incidental contact between Victim #1 and Unidentified Male #1. Unidentified Male #2 threw food at the victims, the dispute escalated and the unidentified males punched the victims multiple times. Unidentified Male #1 demanded property from Victim #1. Unidentified Male #1 subsequently produced a handgun and discharged it one time. The victims were not struck by gunfire and they refused medical attention. No property was taken. The unidentified males fled northbound on 116 Street.

Video is attached and available at DCPI. The first clips show the unidentified males inside of a Checkers restaurant located at 120-06 Liberty Avenue, shortly before the incident.
