POMONA/MONTCLAIR, CALIFORNIA – Pomona Police and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a gunshot victim at the intersection of William Street and N Huntington Blvd. A Pomona air unit was the first over the scene within seconds and noticed a black SUV leaving the scene at high speeds. A Pomona unit was able to get behind it and attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle did not stop and a pursuit started. The black SUV got onto the eastbound 10 freeway. The vehicle exited at Monte Vista Avenue just south of the 10 freeway and stopped. Pomona Pd conducted a felony traffic stop. Pomona Pd were able to take one male into custody. The male advised Pomona Pd officers that he was the victim and was shot in the leg. Pomona immediately rendered aid to the victim’s leg to stop the bleeding. Montclair firefighters responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for a gunshot wound. Unknown at this time what led up to the shooting or any suspect description or vehicle.
