BROOKLYN: 2 Dead in Fatal Bushwick Fire

BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (DCPI) – On Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 2259 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a residential fire inside of 165 Schaefer Street, within the confines of the 83rd Precinct. FDNY personnel removed two children and an adult from the location. EMS transported an 8-year-old female and a 7-year-old female to Wyckoff Hospital, where both were pronounced deceased. EMS also transported a 53-year-old male to Wyckoff Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The fire has been placed under control by FDNY personnel. The cause of the fire will be determined by NYC Fire Marshall. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
