A shooting Wednesday afternoon near Barstow High School has sent one gunshot wound victim to the hospital. According to a Barstow Police Lieutenant (off camera), the shooting occurred around 1:10 PM in an apartment complex near S. First Avenue and W. Buena Vista Street. The victim is NOT believed to be a student. On arrival Barstow officers located one victim. Officers also saw one man flee from the scene on foot. During a foot pursuit the suspect attempted to discard a hand gun. The suspect was detained and the gun recovered but, according to the Lieutenant, it is not known if the fleeing suspect was involved in the actual shooting. Barstow Police are also looking for two adult males suspects who where seen fleeing the scene in a grey sedan. The victim was transported by paramedics to Barstow Community Hospital. The victim was said to be in stable condition.
