GLENDORA, CALIFORNIA – On Saturday early morning, June 19, 2021 California Highway Patrol Baldwin Park Station received a 911 call of a wrong way driver going westbound in the eastbound lanes of the 210 freeway at the 57 freeway. About a couple of minutes later California Highway Patrol received another 911 call of a traffic collision on the northbound 57 fwy to the westbound 210 fwy involving two vehicles and a big rig. Once officers arrived on scene they located two vehicles including a big rig that were involved in a traffic collision. CHP took the driver into custody that was going the wrong way on the 210 causing the crash. Witnesses advised CHP that the black vehicle was going the wrong way on the 210 transition to the 57 in eastbound lanes of the westbound lanes and causing the crash. The driver of the Mercedes was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital with a broken leg. CHP had NB on 57 fwy to the westbound 210 fwy closed as they handle their investigation into the wrong way crash. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
