SAN BERNARDINO – CHP San Bernardino received 911 calls regarding a wrong way driver driving northbound in southbound lanes of the 215 freeway in San Bernardino. Shortly after a crash was reported on Highland Ave. Witnesses reported a vehicle flew off the freeway and the driver was trapped. San Bernardino County Fire Department removed the patient from the vehicle, and the patient was transported to a local hospital. Per Highway Patrol logs, the patient was pronounced deceased. The collision is under investigation. No other injuries were reported.
