Woman Tries To Dance Her Way Out DUI Arrest After Running Friend Over | WILMINGTON, CA 6.28.21

WILMINGTON, CALIFORNIA – LAFD firefighters responded to a call of a traffic accident with a person trapped near the intersection of Q St and Gulf in the city of Wilmington. Upon arrival they found a female patient pinned under a midsized Infiniti SUV. As they were attempting to free her from the underside of the vehicle, they noticed a woman acting erratic. After the woman was freed and firefighters began medical aid other firefighters kept the suspicious lady at bay and prevented her from leaving the scene before an LAPD traffic officer arrived. During the incident the woman was arrested , but not before she tried to dance and shadow kick her way out of her charges. LAPD officers also found an opened Jim Beam bottle between the two front seats of the vehicle.

The woman that was run over and pinned under the car is believed to be the suspect’s friend. She was transported to a local hospital with serious road rash and other unknown injuries. The LAPD and LAFD would like to remind citizens to drink and party legally and responsibly during the upcoming summer and holiday seasons.
