WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA – January 2, 2021 West Covina PD and West Covina Fire Department responded to a gunshot victim at WaBa Grill Restaurant at E Amar Rd and S Azusa Ave. Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene they located a female that was shot in the back of the head. The female was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Unknown at the time what lead up to the shooting. West Covina Pd had the intersection closed as they searched for shell casings. No other information has been released at this time as the investigation is still ongoing.
