EL MONTE, CALIFORNIA – Saturday morning, January 23, 2021, El Monte PD and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a commercial building fire at a church at 2600 N Tyler Ave and Elliott Ave. Once firefighters and officers arrived on scene they located a church with smoke showing. El Monte PD notified firefighter that the church has been getting bomb threats before the fire was reported. El Monte Pd evacuated nearby residents and families due to the bomb threats and a Device that was located inside the church. How many PD has both intersections closed. Unknown agency is in route to assist El Monte PD with the bomb call.
