RIVERSIDE – On March 10, 2020 Riverside City Fire Department along with Riverside City Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle vs pedestrian in the 2900 block of North of van Buren and Victoria Ave in the City of Riverside. Fire personal arrived on scene and located a vehicle on the side of the road with it hazard on with a pedestrian laying in the middle of the road. Currently, it is unclear how fast the vehicle was driving, or the location of the pedestrian was crossing. According to an email sent to Riverside City Police Information Officer R. Railbacks, he commented that the pedestrians was transported to a local hospital and has succumb to his injuries. Currently, according to Officer R. Railbacks, the driver in the incident is still remaining on scene cooperating with police investigator to determine the cause of the incident.
