CRESTLINE – On Sunday March 15th 2020, at 6:00pm, San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle into the lake at Lake Gregory. The 911 caller stated a Jeep had gone into the water with the driver still inside. CHP officers arrived on scene, and reported the vehicle had been fully submerged. San Bernardino County Fire Department initiated a water rescue. Members from the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department dive team, pulled the body out of the vehicle. CPR was done on scene, and the patient was transported via ambulance. Before officers and firefighters arrived, a Good Samaritan attempted to save the victim, however was unsuccessful. It is unclear at this time if the person survived, or is deceased. The incident is under investigation. A witness that spoke with the Good Samaritan provided a interview.
