SAN BERNARDINO – On Saturday afternoon, August 22, 2020 at 4:16 PM San Bernardino County Firefighters were dispatched to a vegetation fire at 192 N Macy Street. Upon arriving on scene firefighters reported a 1-2 acre fire with a moderate rate of spread with winds pushing the fire to the north towards homes. It is unknown at this time what caused the fire but crews were able to successfully stop the forward rate of spread before it reached the homes. Multiple items in the field were on fire due to transients that had been living in the area. More details to be released at a later time by fire officials.
