LAKE ELSINORE – On June 10, 2020 Riverside County Fire Department, responded to reports of a vegetation fire in the 28000 block of Red Gun Dr in the City of Lake Elsinore. Arriving fire crews reported a large vegetation fire approximately 2 to 4 acres burning in high flashy vegetation fuel with possible structure danger. Per Captain Herrera, PIO for the Riverside County Fire Department, fire crews conducted a aggressive attack on the fire and mitigated the structure threat and was able to control the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown currently and Riverside County Fire Arson Investigation is assuming the incident. According to a witness he observed two subjects, a male adult and female adult, fleeing the area where the fire was originally reported. The two subjects at this time have not been found.
