VAN NUYS: Street Racing Crash

    *Time* – 0229 *Location* – 15128 Hamlin Street, Van Nuys *Handling Agencies* – LAFD, LAPD Valley Traffic
    At approximately 0229, LAFD and LAPD responded to reports of a traffic accident. Arriving units found a black Toyota Camry that had struck the back of a white minivan. It appears that the Camry was traveling at such a high rate of speed that it pushed the parked minivan about 150 feet into the back of another vehicle parked on the street. The driver of the Camry was transported to Holy Cross Hospital in critical condition. A witness who declined to be on camera stated he witnessed the Camry and a White Scion FRS racing down the street when the Camry Slammed into the back of the minivan. Per the witness, The victim was unbuckled stuck in the front passengers floorboard of the vehicle. It appears that firefighters may have had to cut the victim out. LAPD Valley Traffic is handling the incident.
