WHITTIER NARROWS – A man in his 50’s was stuck in a tree near the Whittier Narrows riverbed this afternoon. The call was reported at 5:22 pm and LACo Fire took quick action performing a hoist operation to save the man. The man was reportedly stuck in water up to his waist at one point before climbing into the tree. The man was rescued and brought to shore and was checked by paramedics but refused to be treated and was released on scene.
