APPLE VALLEY – A woman experiencing a medical emergency struck the side of an Apple Valley nursing home Wednesday afternoon. The woman and her passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle. The driver was airlifted to a trauma center and her passenger was transported to a local hospital for treatment. According to a SBSO Apple Valley deputy (SOT included), the woman was heading out of a nearby Target parking lot when the medical emergency occurred. She traveled across Apple Valley Road and struck the southwest corner of the building. No one inside was injured. The incident occurred 1:10 PM. The nursing home, Apple Valley Post Acute Care, is located at 11959 Apple Valley Road.
