7.29.20 | by Adam Balhetchet | UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan – An NYPD car was on fire. It happened around 4 am Wednesday at 73 West 83rd St within the confines of the 20th Precinct. That is when calls over the radio were made “requesting FDNY forthwith!” an explosion, and car fire. Police used a fire extinguisher until FDNY arrived, who put out the car fire completely. Investigators were on scene knocking on doors and looking for surveillance cameras. A crime scene was established and the block was shut down.
