MID CITY – A fire ripped through an apartment building early Sunday morning on Serrano Ave. Firefighters got to the scene to find a building with smoke coming out. Surrounding residents evacuated their apartments. As soon as firefighters cut a hole in the roof the flames came out. After about 15 to 20 minutes they had the fire knocked down. Unknown if anyone was in the building at the time of the fire. LAFD Arson is investigating.
