WILMINGTON, CALIFORNIA – A traffic collision left a black Mercedes under a semi truck trailer at the corner of 253rd and Vermont. The big rig was turning left on to Vermont when it collided with the Mercedes. The driver of the semi truck was not hurt. while the passenger(s) of the Mercedes were not so lucky. LAFD firefighters had two operations working. One was to extricate the driver and passenger of the black Mercedes and a second to stabilize the truck’s trailer from moving while they worked diligently to extricate the patients from their vehicle.
Although witnesses in the crowd were very vocal saying the Mercedes was doing doughnuts and “burning rubber”, it has not been confirmed if speed was a factor in the incident.
