BAY RIDGE, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK – Two suspects were arrested in connection to a robbery. It happened at 5:29am Sunday at 9257 4th Ave (Smoke Shop & Premium Cigars). That is when two suspects, a male and female, walked into the bodega with masks and brazenly grabbed seven containers of scratch-off tickets and fled. The bodega worker went after them and also called 911. Police upon arrival initiated a foot pursuit. A 10-13 was transmitted requesting backup. Aviation was also requested to assist with the perp search. The pursuit ultimately ended in the vicinity of the Staples parking lot nearby and 214 Gelston Ave. Both the male and female suspects were taken into custody. The male suspect did not respond when asked why he stole the scratch-off tickets.
