STATEN ISLAND: Plane Lands in Soccer Field

5.1.19 | by Adam Balhetchet | NEW DORP, Staten Island – A small plane made an emergency landing in Miller Field as kids were playing soccer. It happened at 5:40 pm on Wednesday at Miller Field. The pilot made the decision to land in the field due to severe foggy conditions, according to the FAA. The pilot was uninjured, and no other occupants were inside the plane. Numerous units from NYPD, ESU, Park Police, and OEM were on the scene. No damage was done to the aircraft.
