FONTANA, CALIFORNIA – Thursday February 25th, Fontana police attempted to pull over a stolen steak bed truck. The driver failed to yield and led officers on a pursuit eastbound on the 210 freeway from Fontana into San Bernardino. The driver exited Del Rosa ave in San Bernardino continuing to lead officers on the pursuit through city streets. The suspect made his way to the 10 freeway heading back westbound. Fontana PD handed the pursuit off to CHP in the Claremont area of the 10 freeway. The pursuit exited city streets in Azusa and eventually came to an end. The driver was taken into custody; a passenger escaped capture. The driver was found to have a gun holster on his person, yet no gun was recovered. It is believed that a gun was possibly tossed out the window at some point or the passenger had possession of it. Termination point E Baseline Rd & S Barranca Ave Azusa
