SOUTH L.A: Teenager Killed In Motorized Bike Accident

A crash involving a motorized scooter in South Los Angeles has claimed the life of a teenage boy and injured another. First responders were called to the intersection of 92nd Street and Broadway Avenue around 12:45 PM Saturday, according to the LAFD. An email released from the fire department says one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another victim was taken to the hospital. The victim killed was later identified as a 17-year-old boy.  A heartbroken father of the victim killed can be seen in tears. The driver of the black sedan stayed at the scene. According to police, the driver is not expected to be cited. Investigators say the motorized bike is not street legal. Both victims were not wearing any safety gear, according to police.
