SHERMAN OAKS: Man On Drugs Threatens Family Inside Home

Early Sunday, A man broke into a home in a quiet Sherman Oaks Neighborhood threatening to stab the family inside. The family called 911 and reported that they were hiding in a bathroom and that the suspect may be high on drugs. It was not clear weather the suspect had actually already injured any members of the family. When police arrived they found the suspect belligerent and uncooperative inside the home. A taser had to be deployed before police could remove the suspect. At that point a man in a dark rope and a younger man emerged from the home. The younger man was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The older man in a robe did not appear to be injured. The suspect was taken to a local hospital with cuts as well as injuries from the taser. The family declined to comment.
