RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA – On Wednesday morning October 07, 2020 at approximately 7:28 am CalFire Riverside/Riverside County Fire along with CHP, AMR and Riverside County Sheriff responded to a fatal traffic collision involving a semi truck on Van Buren Blvd and Meridian Parkway in Riverside.
Emergency units arrived on scene and noticed approximately 4 vehicles involved in a traffic collision with one being a jackknifed semi truck that left the roadway and ended up on the sidewalk. The cab area of the semi truck was completely destroyed in the accident. At this time it is not known which vehicle the deceased came from.
The injured victims were transported to the hospital via ground ambulance in unknown condition. The crash is currently under investigation by the CHP. Van Buren Blvd westbound from Meridian Parkway will be closed for several hours.
