SAN BERNARDINO On Monday December 24th 2018, around 6:25pm, San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision reported with injuries, in the 1840 block of W. Baseline St. Upon arrival, first responders found a vehicle on its roof, with the driver laying next to the vehicle. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene. It appears that this is a solo vehicle collision. Tire skid marks can be seen on the street, starting at least 25 feet away from where the vehicle ultimately landed The person that stopped to render aid, advised that he placed the 911 call, found the subject in critical condition, and unresponsive. He attempted CPR, however unfortunately was unable to revive the victim. He stated the victim had sever head trauma. San Bernardino Police Department is conducting the accident investigation. The good samaritan/911 caller was too shook up to provide an on camera statement. He stated with it being Christmas eve, he is going to struggle emotionally with this encounter, yet will be praying for the victim’s loved ones.
