On Saturday night, November 02, 2019, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to ringing fire alarm at a business near the 215 Freeway. The ringing alarm was dispatched around 10:50pm at a business in the 7300 block of Sycamore Canyon Blvd. The first arriving engine company reported water and light smoke coming from the front of the business as well as a broken window. Firefighters forced entry into the business and located a broken fire sprinkler which was flooding the business as well as a fire inside. The fire was quickly extinguished. Firefighters also noticed an office inside the business appeared to have been burglarized and requested the Riverside Police Department to the scene. No injuries were reported and it wasn’t immediately known if the fire was intentionally set as a result of a burglary.
