RIVERSIDE: Mail Theft Suspects Takes Off With 3 Post Office Mail Boxes

Late Monday night, September 09, 2019, the Riverside Police Department responded to a report of a mail theft in progress at a Post Office. The incident occurred shortly after 10:00pm at the Post Office in the 10200 block of Hole Avenue. According to a witness, she was in the area working when she saw a male in a white Ford F-150 pull into the drive up mail drop off area. The witness says she then heard the man use a power tool, possibly an electric saw, to cut 2 or 3 of the large blue mail boxes free from the bolts holding them to the ground. According to the witness, the man was able to cut them free and load them into the bed of his truck in under three minutes. The witness attempted to get a license plate number however, the truck had no plates. The truck is only described as a white F-150 with a grey or black plastic front bumper, no back windows and was last seen turning eastbound onto Magnolia Avenue from Hole Avenue.
