RIVERSIDE: Double Shooting At Downtown Apartment Complex

On Saturday night August 18, 2018 the Riverside Police Department along with the City of Riverside Fire Department and AMR responded to multiple reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the downtown area. The shooting was reported shortly before 8:30pm at an apartment complex in the 3400 block of 5th Street. When Officers arrived they found two victims suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to an area hospital in unknown conditions. It’s unclear if the suspect is still outstanding or in custody. Police blocked off the area while they conducted their investigation.
