The fire was reported around 7:40pm in the river bottom near Miramonte Place. The first arriving engine company reported roughly 1/4 acre burning in medium to thick vegetation with difficulty making access. A second alarm was request due to the difficult access. By 8:30pm Firefighters had the fire contained to two acres however, were still working on knocking down the fire within the containment line. The cause of the fire is possibly due to a cooking fire in a homeless encampment. No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
