Riverside: 220 acre Brush Fire

At approximately 1:00 PM on July 2, 2019 Riverside City Fire Dept. Responded to a Brush Fire in the area of Sycamore Canyon In Riverside.
Upon arrival Riverside city fire Notice flames coming from the hillside with threat to structures. Riverside Police started to evacuate sever local residents in the path of the fire.
CalFire Helicopter 305 made numerous water drops to get the fire under control.
Several CalFire handcrews responded to the area to assist with getting the fire under control
The fire is currently at 220 acres at this time.
Due to a vegetation fire in the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park, the park will be closed till further notice.
