POMONA, CALIFORNIA – Sometime after 2:00 am California Highway Patrol started getting multiple 911 calls of motorcycles stopping traffic and racing on the eastbound 210 freeway just before the southbound 57 freeway. CHP officers from Baldwin Park were able to get into position and saw multiple motorcycles traveling southbound 57 fwy from Via Verde in the city of San Dimas. CHP officers got behind a group of motorcycles traveling southbound 57 fwy coming up to the westbound 60 freeway. CHP attempted to pull over one motorcycle but the motorcyclist did not stop and a pursuit started westbound 60 freeway and exited at Fairway Drive. A total of four motorcycles then got back on the eastbound 60 freeway from Fairway Dr traveling at high speeds. The four motorcyclists exited at Phillips Ranch Road from the EB 60 freeway. Three out of the four motorcyclists continued southbound on Phillips Ranch Road and the fourth motorcycle went southbound in northbound lanes of Phillips Ranch Road going the wrong way. The motorcycle that was traveling the wrong way noticed a vehicle coming northbound towards him and the motorcycle attempted to jump over the curve and crashed ejecting the rider off the bike. CHP stopped and rendered aid to the rider and until firefighters and paramedics arrived on scene. The suspect was transported to Pomona Valley hospital in critical condition. Unknown at this time if that was the main suspect that CHP was attempting to pull over. The other three motorcyclists riders got away from CHP.
