QUEENS: Driver Trapped in 4-Car MVA

OZONE PARK, Queens – A driver is in serious condition after crashing into three parked cars and knocking down a light pole. This happened on 77 St and Sutter Ave at 2 am Wednesday within the confines of the 106th Precinct. According to witnesses, he lost control of his Mercedes on North Conduit Ave sending his vehicle across the grass of Judge Graci Triangle, knocking down a light pole, and crashing into three parked vehicles and a fire hydrant. The driver was confirmed by FDNY and ESU to be trapped. FDNY extricated the female passenger first, then extricated the male driver. The female passenger was transported in stable condition in semi-fowlers whereas the male driver appeared to be in serious condition screaming in pain transported in the supine position. Folks from the area say this is a chronic location for accidents due to drivers speeding on North Conduit Ave.
