HAWTHORNE, CALIFORNIA – Deputies engaged in a pursuit of a reckless driver around the area of 104th and Lennox. The suspect to attempt to strike a police vehicle during the pursuit, and deputies declared an assault on a peace officer. The suspect crashed into a truck and was taken into custody, and a second suspect was trapped in the back seat of the car. He was extricated by firefighters and transported in unknown condition.
