ONTARIO – CHP attempted to pull over a vehicle for driving at high speeds of 90 plus EB 60 at Garey Ave. The vehicle did not stop for officers and a pursuit started eastbound 60 freeways with speeds reaching over 100 mph plus and sometimes at 120 mph. The suspect continued eastbound 60 freeway were he exited at S Haven Avenue. The suspect exited the freeway at Haven Avenue from the 60 freeway and he blew a tire and pulled over and took off on foot leaving a female passenger inside the vehicle and the car catching fire. CHP took the female into custody and got her away from the vehicle as it was catching fire. The driver took off on foot into a residential area. Ontario officers along with CHP set up a perimeter and searched for the suspect along with a CHP K-9 unit. The officers search nearby neighborhoods and after about an hour they called it off as a suspect got away.
