POMONA, CALIFORNIA – Claremont PD got a “ANPR” known as “Automatic Number Plate Recognition” hit on a stolen and armed robbery vehicle out of San Diego going southbound Indian Hills Blvd and San Jose Ave. Claremont Pd were searching for a blue four-door Honda Civic. Once officers got in the area they located a vehicle matching that description at a Shell gas station at the pumps at Indian Hill Boulevard in San Jose Ave. Officers turned on their lights and attempted a felony traffic stop on the vehicle inside the gas station. The suspect took off and a pursuit started. The suspects got onto the westbound 10 Freeway at Indian Hill Boulevard at speeds of 80 mph. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Air Unit also got involved in the pursuit. The suspects continued westbound on the 10 freeway exiting at N Garey Ave. The suspects continued westbound on E Artesia St where he crashed at W Artesia St and Alameda St. There were three suspects inside the vehicle, they took off on foot into a residential area. Claremont PD along with Pomona Pd K-9 conducted a search and caught all three. Claremont Pd and Pomona Pd also recovered two backpacks that the suspects took when they fled from the vehicle.
